The Transforming Foundation Industries Network+ welcomes Professor Lenny Koh from the University of Sheffield to present advances in multi-scale decision science for a resource sustainable supply chain.

This event is part of the 'Blue skies, green future' webinar series, which presents ideas and innovations to spark discussion on the topic of transformation and sustainability within the foundation industries such as cement, glass, ceramics, metals, paper and chemicals.

In monthly webinars world-leading researchers present novel ideas and concepts. During the session, speakers will discuss a technology which if implemented could transform the foundation industries. The goal is to encourage the audience to consider ways in which their own industry can utilise and embed innovation.

This session will be a presentation from Professor Lenny Koh on supply chain resource sustainability and decision science.

Resource sustainable supply chains are competing with each other, and not just supplying, production chains. A resource sustainable supply chain comprises availability and resiliency of resources including materials, time, money, data/intelligence, labour, talent, energy, machines, technology and ecosystem. This talk focuses on the advances in multi-scale decision science for a resource sustainable supply chain. It will present cases at international, national, regional, organisational, product and material scales. Environmental, economic, industry and policy relevance and impacts will be highlighted.
