Dr John Lever, University of Huddersfield will speak at a Global Food and Environment Institute (GFEI) webinar on 22 June 2022 at 12:00-12:40hrs on findings from research that explored the potential for circular food economies.

Drawing on collaborative research in West Yorkshire involving Huddersfield and Leeds universities via the Yorkshire Circular Lab, this webinar explores the changing dynamics of local and regional food systems in line with the emergence of circular economy as a national policy framework. Focussed on the potential of bringing diverse and competing understandings of circularity together in city-regions, the talk provides insights into the social, economic and environmental benefits to be derived by viewing city-regions as composite units of analysis and intervention for new regional development models.
